Nursing job here in the Philippines is not booming in position needs, there are several nurses in the country that has enough knowledge and experiences but the work position needs are not efficient. In other words, the supply of nursing does not counterfeit the demands for work positions.
More and more schools of nursing have achieved more than hundreds of student nurses in the country. Many nurses that graduated in different schools are now jobless. In addition, due to the increasing number of need for nurses in the US, some healthcare establishments are giving healthcare workers bonuses up to $14,000 especially for experienced nurses. Some hospitals also provide their experienced nurses good salary and bonuses.
Moreover, during the year 2010, the need for RN in the US accounts for about 213, 500. There are still open positions for nurses on the year 2015 because the shortage for this profession accounts for 381,250. Finally, by the year 2020, the need for nursing position will boom up to 800,000 professional nurses.
If working outside the country is your only means of practicing your profession, so be it. There are lots of opportunities if you go outside your shell.
