Newly graduate nurses are being eyed by the Accenture Philippines to be employed in its care management business processing outsourcing services that cater US health care insurance clients.
According to Benedict C. Hernandez, BPO service delivery operation head of Accenture Philippines, the employment is a win-win solution for unemployed nurses that are being produced annually.
The health care insurance items that are catered in Accenture Philippines are a significant opportunity for people with nursing background. Nurses can participate in the BPO variant and build a career. The company started offering care management BPO services since last year.
At present, the company has over a hundred of nursing graduates that takes care of health related accounts. Accenture intends to grow significantly the number of nurses in their company. In addition, Hernandez added that workers in the BPO industry are well paid and their compensation is very attractive.
Nurses that will be employed on the said company will do disease management, including prevention of complications and standardization of care of patients who has chronic diseases. They will also utilize the management to look at medical requests and evaluate its necessity. Lastly, nurses will do wellness and prevention program, providing information on health topics such as lifestyle changes, diet and exercise.
In addition, Hernandez stated that the Philippine operation of Accenture is a pioneer in the company’s Global Delivery Network that has more than 50 delivery centers throughout the globe. The operation center here in the country is the second largest node and the third largest locations in terms of head count, next to United States and India.
There were more than 21,000 professionals in Cebu and Metro Manila. Accenture Philippines is one of the most mature and largest operations in the country.
